About Us

Mandy Taylor-Davis

Mandy has been the owner of Happy Hearts for 10 years. She previously worked as an assistant to the previous owner and then slowly worked her way up and took it over.

She has worked many jobs in the past and worked for a bank for over 17 years; her most important role has been raising her 3 children and loving on her 3 young grandchildren. One of her children was diagnosed with Autism as a toddler and through her journey as a parent in this regard, she found a deep passion for children and caretaking. She decided to quit her job at the bank and applied to work at Happy Hearts Childcare.

Through the years she has grown the business in ways that are astonishing and she continues to pour her soul into helping those in the community create a safe and loving space. She prides herself on never closing down during the covid pandemic, dedicating her life to serve the children of first responders and essential workers during this time. Not only did the pandemic not slow her down, but she has built a team that has the same goals and beliefs and has won awards in the community for these achievements.

Heather Theodorson

Heather has been a valued member of the Happy Hearts team since 2019, shortly after her own daughter attended our preschool. A proud mom of two and wife to a local firefighter, she moved from Bothell to Greenacres in 2017 and quickly became an integral part of our community.

She brings a strong educational background, holding a DTA-AAS from Bellevue College, a BA in Elementary Education from Central Washington University, and a minor in English Literature. Heather has completed hundreds of practicum hours and taught in various classrooms across Washington, including the Shoreline School District. She has a passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs and always strives to create a positive, inclusive environment.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys photography, traveling, and exploring with her kids. She’s excited to help make your child’s time at Happy Hearts safe, memorable, and full of growth.

Dellayne

Dellayne is a mom of 4 boys and a wife to her amazing husband Terry. She has been a resident of Spokane for the entirety of her life. Some things she likes to enjoy are camping, traveling to exotic places, baking, floating the river, gaming and reading. She has been with Happy Hearts a couple of years, and in the past she served others centers across Spokane Valley. She has always had a desire to help children in the community, and since becoming a Director of Happy Hearts, she has shown that her tenacity is never ending and her wisdom to teach and guide all age groups is unparalleled. We are so glad she joined forces with us and has become a beautiful part of the Happy Hearts Community.
